Guideline of “Journal Paper” Submission for PVSEC-19

This "Journal Paper" submission for PVSEC-19 is applicable only to those who are interested in having their full-length paper considered for publication in a special issue of “Current Applied Physics (CAP)” or “Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells (SOLMAT)”. The choice of the journals (CAP or SOLMAT) is entirely up to the author’s discretion. Technology and policy oriented submissions are appropriate for SOLMAT and basic science oriented submissions are appropriated for CAP. Submitted papers must be original work that has not been previously published or is being considered for publication elsewhere. The manuscript should be written in English, clearly and completely edited grammar and contents with the usage of technical terms in accordance with what is generally accepted in this field.

Authors are asked to submit their papers through the online submission system by following the instructions offered from each journal. The submission deadline is set to Nov. 2. 2009.

Please read the following instructions carefully.

  • Full manuscript submission is managed entirely online using the Elsevier Editorial System for both journals, CAP and SOLMAT. The Full manuscript must be submitted in electronic form through either the CAP or SOLMAT online submission system (see Guide for Authors SOLMAT & CAP)). Please use the links below for submission.

  • In order to log-in to the submission page, you need to register. Subsequently you will be able to log in to each system using a user name and password. Follow the “Author’s Instructions” and “Manuscript Upload Instructions” available on each site.
  • During the submission process, the following is a very important step: Authors should select “Special Issue: PVSEC-19” when they reach the step “Article Type” in the submission process.
  • It is desirable that your paper fits within 3 journal pages (e.g., single-space, two-column, 10 pt) and must not exceed a total of 4 pages, approximately 2000 words (excluding references) and a total of 4 figures.
  • Because there is a page limit for each special issue journal (400 pages for CAP and 375 for SOLMAT), we regret to inform you that each journal can contain only around 100 papers and the acceptance rate of the peer-review process depends on the total number of submission for each journal.
  • Once a paper is accepted based on our rigorous peer-review process, they will be handed over to Elsevier in June of 2010 to be published in CAP or SOLMAT. The authors of the accepted submissions will be asked to pay an extra publication fee of $250 USD for each paper.
  • Papers not presented at PVSEC 19 will not be considered for publication.
